Seven years ago we started taping the Hippy Gourmet TV Show
to create a mellow and Zen-like cooking series that captures
all the fun and fashion of a multi-cultural and generational
phenomenon, which is the Haight-Ashbury of San Francisco.
Since then the Hippy Gourmet has expanded it’s filming
to exotic and indigenous locations around the world, discovering
and exploring all that is natural, organic and beautiful.
The show also features worthy non-profits and companies
that are striving to make a difference in the world. Read

James Ehrlich - Executive Producer/Director
(bio)
James has spent years working in film and television. Before
creating the Hippy Gourmet show with his three co-producers,
James founded his own successful media and technology company.
He was also acting president of GMI Entertainment, a global
media and publishing concern, where he executive produced
all of their film, television and electronic media.
James
produced television segments for major networks and has
also dedicated a great deal of his creative energy towards
documentaries that are especially focused on wildlife and
endangered habitats.

Chef MikeC. - Host of Organic Living TV with the The Hippy
Gourmet (bio)
An honors graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Chef
MikeC. began cooking professionally in 1997 in upstate New
York in restaurants and a natural/organic foods grocer.
In 2000, he started his first catering business, “Cuisine
Undressed”, before moving to San Francisco in 2001
to study at CCA. There he co-founded Xfusion Personal Chef
Services - an originator of the concept of turning private
parties into exciting cooking events for guests to participate
in. While still in school, he was hired to co-manage Sur
La Table’s San Francisco culinary school, where he
also taught. Within months, MikeC. was put in charge of
the program, which included assisting such visiting celebrity
chefs as Martin Yan, Jamie Oliver, Alton Brown and Michael
Chiarello. In 2003, he founded Party Lifestyles and taught
international cuisines at cooking schools and retail outlets
up and down the West Coast as well as catering events for
high-end clientele. At the same time, he became an official
spokesperson for Furi Knives, appearing at trade shows and
culinary fairs around the country to demonstrate proper
knife skills. He recently took over hosting the long-running
cooking show series “Organic Living with the Hippy
Gourmet.”
Lena Blanc - Co-Producer
Lena is a Co-Producer of The Hippy Gourmet TV Show and is
also one of our beautiful ‘Hippie’ cast members
as well! Lena was born and raised across the pond in Europe
where she learned the art of gourmet baking from her mother
and grandmother. Besides helping produce each episode, Lena
also contributes her incredible creative and technical skills
to our ever-expanding site design, bringing all the flavors
of The Hippy Gourmet show to the web!

Dennis Minnick - DP - 1st CameraDennis Minnick
started in the video business in 1970 after completing his
B.A. in television production. Working first in a recording
studio he gained a solid background in audio while simultaneously
being involved with corporate and entertainment video projects.
He
worked as a cameraman and later a director for over 200
large screen concert videos for groups ranging from Jimi
Hendrix to the Grateful Dead and other events including
the Goldman Environmental Prize. More
recently he has been involved in medical training productions
and as a lighting director for several local commercials.
He
joined the Hippy Gourmet family two years ago after seeing
their work on the air and finding it a fun and rewarding
series to be involved with.
Bruce Brennan - the old Host of The Hippy Gourmet
Chef extraordinaire, Bruce trained under some of the industry's
finest French chefs. At 16 years old Bruce was cooking for
executives at IBM's Long Island Management Training Center.
Bruce went on to cook at several restaurants both in New
York and Los Angeles, and invited to cater on Hollywood
sets and backstage events.
Bruce
and his sister then renovated an old Victorian in the heart
of San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury, creating a successful
bed and breakfast. This truly was the inspiration behind
The Hippy Gourmet show, with Bruce’s knowledge of
world recipes, natural ingredients and his warm hospitality!
